Cognitive behavioural hypnosis is does not use trance state or trance feelings. Regression hypnosis has a tendency towards trance state. In conversational hypnosis clients typically have their eyes open and only close them when they feel they want to.

Typically you will start noticing a difference 24-48 hours afterwards. Clients often feel a little tired after the session, and a nap will help support the work that you've done.
Thereafter the effects will be accumulative as you see how your session positively affects the area of concern and the different areas of your life over weeks and months, as it creates longer term changes.
